Mantle Tree
Mantle Tree is a mixed media painting on a sturdy deep edged wooden artist panel. 61cm x 76cm x 5cm (sold unframed). Much of my work is based on emotions and how I see and interpret the world around me. The title Mantle Tree in this instance, was a suggestion from someone who viewed the work and straight away saw an old fire mantle. Fascinated by this I researched and found that historically mantles were made from oak and were named mantle trees. This was just one opinion, the rich warm colour may remind you of something completely different.
All my paintings are sealed and finished in satin UV varnish. The frame is a wooden St Ives Style with fixings attached, ready to hang.
