'Joyous Confection' is a contemporary acrylic abstract painting on wood. My work is based on emotions and how I see and interpret the world around me. I have explored this through installations and digital art but my real passion is manipulating paint. It has such a visceral nature, that the action of putting paint down and manipulating it on a surface, becomes both cathartic and exciting in equal measure. Joyous Confection as the name suggests is full of joy and a confection of subtle layers of creams and pinks with gentle blacks to move your eye around.
